I admire most of your articles but this looks lil off.

Any sensible company wont think of increasing price 100x considering there are alternatives and some of them are even cheaper with decent performance.

Another reason is i observed they keep on decreasing price on API by 25-100% few times a year, latest being last month (aug 2024)
